Life for a child can be hard enough on its
own. Children themselves however,
are blessed with unparalleled imagination built in as a natural defense against
the trauma of growing up. What
feeds that imagination is belief.
Belief
in a more exciting world. Belief
in adventure. Belief in monsters.
What
destroys belief is proof. With
proof, one no longer need believe because now, now you know. When belief is gone, imagination goes
with it, after all what's the point?
Growing
up without imagination can destroy a young mind, or harden it to steel.
